For this one, we’ll reach our greedy little hands into the bizarre top hat of hell called the National Enquirer. The king of the tabs ran a massive cover story about some of the alleged “transgressions” of one of America’s most watched morning talk show hosts.
This time the man who supposedly couldn’t keep his married million dollar mittens to himself is Matt Lauer. The cover of the mag reads that he “WALKS OUT ON WIFE,” with the subheading “New Cheating Scandal Rocks Marriage.”
I don’t know if I’m more surprised that he’s straight or that he may have cheated!
Now people want to know what his wife Annette Roque will do next. Apparently they had a similar problem back in 2006, which actually led to a brief separation. Divorce papers were filed, but the couple managed to salvage things before the ink dried—but will she tolerate a second blow?
If the claims are verified, it makes me wonder if he will address the issue on the air. He strikes me as the squeaky-clean type, and his on air persona always felt a little disingenuous to me. Could this be a blow to his lovable status?

The Dutch born model married her TV presenter hubby in 1998. They have three children together, with the youngest being only three years old. She is known only as “Jade” in the world of Dutch modeling. Her most prominent shoot was part of a Revlon campaign called ‘The Most Unforgettable Women in the World Wear Revlon.’
