So how do you manage to bake a cake fit for a prince and princess? Well, baking a royal wedding cake is really, well, no piece of cake! But elegance served on a palatial platter? I’ll have that.

Prince William Kate Middleton

The royal wedding serves as no easy task. But the final product? A work of art, not to mention, its taste, to die for!

Today was a fairytale in the making. Prince William and Catherine Middleton tied the knot before millions of people at Buckingham Palace. This has created so much buzz regarding her dress, her shoes, her make-up, her jewelry, and of course her cake! All elements of a dream come true! So how royal was the wedding cake? According to People magazine, the Palace released photos of the jumbo cake! An incredible eight-tier chocolate-cookie cake, which happens to be Prince William’s favorite–draped in over 900 “leaf and floral touches”. Amazing!

The royal wedding cake certainly looked like a masterpiece which mirrored the design of Buckingham Palace. How fitting! Also, by request of the Prince, a chocolate biscuit (a royal family recipe) arranged by McVitie’s Cake Company to satisfy your sweet tooth.

The cutting of the cake will take place at the Queen’s reception honoring the Prince and his Princess, as well as indulging in some pretty magical food like Cornish Crab Salad on Lemon Blini, Pressed Duck Terrine with Fruit Chutney and Scottish Smoked Salmon Rose on Beetroot Blini. Yummy!

Wow, what an amazing day, and the fairytale continues! Next up on the itinerary? Buckingham Palace where Prince Charles will host a party and dinner dance, including 300 guests. It’s the party of the century!

Congratulations to Prince William and his Princess Catherine. Cheers to a happy ever after! You may leave your congrats and best wishes for the royal couple in the comment box below!
