Lifetime has announced the premiere date for Project Runway. The series, previously airing on Bravo, has been moved to the female geared network since the decision in 2008. The same cast will also make the jump. Expect to see Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.
“While ‘Project Runway’ might be ‘fashionably’ late in getting to Lifetime, some things in life are worth waiting for. Runway originally was slated to make its Lifetime debut in November, but that was put on hold because of litigation between NBC Universal and the show’s producer, the Weinstein Co. A lawsuit was settled this month, with the series’ former home Bravo allowed to launch its “Runway” replacement “The Fashion Show” in May, three months ahead of “Runway’s” return,” stated president and CEO Andrea Wong.
Filming for the new season is complete. Project Runway will showcase 16 designers all competing for the opportunity of a lifetime. The series will also feature guest judges like Christina Aguilera, Eva Longoria Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Rebecca Romijn. The series will premiere at 10pm on August 20th
