Katherine Heigl graces the cover of InStyle magazine. The actress is busy promoting her new movie The Ugly Truth, so we can expect to see her on a ton of covers in the coming months. In her interview for the magazine, Katherine not only talks about her style, but also her movies, and dealing in the real world.

Katherine talked a bit about celebrity stylists, saying,

“I want to look in the mirror and go, ‘I feel like the best version of myself.”

She also really got into her movies, and talked about receiving an R rating.

“I know this is going to sound bad, but I’m really glad it’s an R. I didn’t want to do another PG-13 movie (27 Dresses). [In any real-life contentious relationship with romantic underpinnings] you’re probably going to drop the F-bomb once in a while. You’re probably going to say some things that are kind of harsh. And you’re definitely going to talk about sex. It doesn’t have to be so Snow White and Prince Charming. That’s my problem with a lot of romantic comedies: Everyone spends so much time trying to make sure it’s the fairytale because that’s what the rating calls for.”

That is so true! But we still have to have those movies that are appropriate for all ages, but to each his own.
Katherine also took this opportunity to respond to criticisms for saying the Grey’s Anatomy material she’d been given to work last year with wasn’t Emmy-worthy.

“Now I’ve got this moniker that I’m the foot-in-the-mouth gal, and I keep thinking, In what way? Because I said something you don’t agree with? Because I said something you don’t like? I’m just telling you my opinion. I hate the idea that I can’t be honest about how I feel about things because it’s going to piss somebody off who feels differently. That seems preposterous to me.”

Well, it seems people still love her. It is so funny how one comment can turn so many against you. I admit it did sound a bit ungrateful, but at least she was honest. You always have to appreciate that.
