Heidi Montag’s fashion line called Heidiwood has been discontinued. For those who don’t already know, Heidi Montag is Lauren Conrad’s arch nemesis in MTV’s hit TV series, The Hills. After one year of the celebrity’s collaboration with Anchor Blue, the label is no longer renewing their contract with Heidi Montag. The label is saying that the contract has simply ended. According to Anchor Blue’s spokeswoman, Marla White, the contract was just for one year and they want to leave it at that. So, correct me when I said discontinued, if there is even a difference. Kidding aside, let’s hear what Marla White has to say about this. “We just felt that the one year was a great year for both of us, and we’re looking into other options.” To add to that White explained that they wanted to explore on other things that doesn’t really necessarily mean a celebrity brand. They wanted to achieve a label that offers fashion and comfort at the same time. And guess what, in White’s exact words, “We can really accomplish that with our own brand.” That’s a big ouch for Heidi.
Too bad, Heidi is no longer needed. Perhaps the label suddenly realized that skimpy outfits and low cut tops aren’t exactly what they were going for. At the same time, White mentions that they are not closing 40 stores, contrary to the rumors going around in the fashion world. In fact, they will be approaching 2009 with 10 new stores less Heidiwood. Check out Heidi Montag’s photos below.
