Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl will be on the August 2009 cover of Marie Claire (UK). Read more and see photos and video here.
As if being the fifth highest-paid actress in Hollywood wasn’t enough. Now Heigl will appear on the cover of the UK fashion magazine, along with a pretty revealing interview.
Also in the issue, she finally makes good on a much-deserved apology to Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow for calling Knocked-Up sexist. Some felt that she was ungrateful for the role, which many view as her break-out performance.
About the sexist comment, she says:
“If I was to say I wish I’d never made that comment about Knocked Up…it maybe didn’t need to be communicated via a magazine interview.”
Katherine Heigl is most well known for her role in Grey’s Anatomy, but more recently she starred in two popular romantic comedies; the previously mentioned Seth Rogen film Knocked-Up, and one called 27 Dresses.
Here are a couple of snippets from the Marie Claire interview:
On being opinionated: “Lately I’ve been getting a lot of crap from people thinking that I shouldn’t have an opinion.”
On being a feminist: “I’m not out burning bras, but I’m very opinionated about women owning their power.”
On her looks: “I always assume I look better than I actually do.”
