Gossip Girl Leighton Meester will be on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine in September. Read more and see photos and video here.
In the issue, Leighton talks about a variety of things, including the allegations that there is a sex tape of her floating around online. Another interesting feature in the mag is a photo rendering of what the young TV star might look like when she is 50 years old.
The cover photo was shot by photographer Terry Richardson, showing Leighton with a modest smile. In the magazine she gives some insightful information about herself, and some of the challenges of being famous.
Naturally Meester seems disgusted about the alleged nude video of her. Here’s what she had to say about it:
“[The tape] is not real so it makes me sort of sad. It’s unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did. I definitely understand the nature of people better now and that the mere allegation of something like that could be headline news. People think it’s real because somebody says it is.”
When asked about the negative side-effects of being a celebrity, here’s what she said:
“I don’t want most of what comes along with all of this. … I feel like my friends are in a cult because we’re like, No outsiders! I’ve never been crazy. I’m a very good girl, to be honest. I don’t do anything to hurt anybody. Honestly, all I ever do is work.”
