After worldwide embarrassment, the sex-test runner’s makeover should help her feel more feminine. Caster Semenya’s is undergoing a sex-test, so why not add a makeover and magazine cover to clear things up.
Caster Semenya gained international attention after winning the 800-meter race in the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, Germany. But it was not so much for her victory.
People began speculating about her looks, and Semenya was asked to take a gender verification test. The results are still pending, but the 18 year old South African has taken the rumors with a grain of salt. She recently posed for the cover of You magazine, South Africa’s best selling English magazine.
Caster went all out for the photo shoot. She showed off her feminine side, complete with shiny red nails, loose natural curls, and high fashion clothes – including a sequined top and leather pants.
She told You, “I see it all as a joke, it doesn’t upset me. God made me the way I am and I accept myself. I am who I am and I’m proud of myself.”
You can see her You magazine cover here, and compare them to her pictures from her IAAF victory below– quite a big difference!
Semenya also told You that she would like to dress up, wear dresses, and learn to do her own make-up, but she never gets the chance.
What do you think about this situation? Do you think that Caster had a makeover for the cover of You to prove something, or she would have done it either way. I mean most girls like to feel girly once in a while, right? Did it make a difference to you? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
