Gossip Girl Blake Lively’s Nylon Magazine cover is on news stands now. In the issue, she gives an insightful glimpse into what it’s like to be a young starlet.
On the cover, her face is slightly inquisitive with mouth partially open, and eyes that seem curious. At just 22, Lively has a lot on her plate, but that doesn’t stop her from goofing around with friends.
She told the mag:
“I [credit-card] swipe my friends with, like, my phone or something, - I slide it in their butts. Like in middle school! You say ‘Visa! Mastercard!’ Just to give somebody a jump. I’m a prankster.”
When asked whether or not she has anything in common with her character on GG, she said:
“No, because I dress just like Serena! I own half her wardrobe, so it’s far too similar to the way I dress. I feel ridiculous at times with her – because I’m, you know, killing someone or marrying someone, but I look like me. I’m like, ‘Oh, this is absurd.’”
About what it was like filming her new movie The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, she said:
“I had a leash around my neck, and Julianne Moore was taking pictures. I thought, What am I doing with my life? What is happening? How is this a good idea?”
I’m sure there are big things to come from her in the future. Gossip Girl seems to be doing pretty well, and she has already branched out into film. Keep your eyes peeled for her next project.
