Well it looks like wishes do come true, just ask Ellen DeGeneres. The uber funny talk show host has finally got herself on the cover of the coveted O Magazine, alongside the queen of daytime talk herself Oprah Winfrey. The joint cover was revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres show on Friday. Ellen actually earned herself a double cover. That is right there is one cover that will hit the newsstands and a different one for subscribers. Both covers are now circulating online and they are fantastic. Funny and classy just like Ellen.
The revealing of the covers marks the end of Ellen’s O Yes I Can campaign to land herself on the cover of O Magazine. The quest to be on the cover came about shortly after Michelle Obama became the first person to ever share a cover with Oprah. Yep that is right, Oprah is not into having anyone on her O Magazine cover but herself. However, after much talk, mostly from Ellen, Oprah agreed to grant Ellen her wish. It was later decided that the perfect time would be the December holiday issue. Don’t you just love it when wishes come true!
Ellen will be on The Oprah Winfrey show on Monday for an exclusive interview with Oprah. The much-anticipated cover isn’t the only thing these women are talking about. For the first time ever Ellen and wife Portia De Rossi will be interviewed together. It is a look inside their wedding and life together. So Ellen lands get on the cover of O Magazine and Oprah lands a huge exclusive interview, now that is good business. I didn’t really think Big O would share another cover without getting something out of it. Personally I am not an Oprah fan, I know some of you my kill for that, but it is true. I would so much rather see Ellen by herself on that cover, but Oprah didn’t ask my opinion. The Ellen and Oprah joint magazine cover hits newsstands on Thursday November 12th.
