Calling ‘The Protector’ Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s latest philanthropic deed would be an oversimplification. The jewelry line, designed for Asprey, is all that and then some.
These two never cease to amaze me. From scooping up needy children from Africa, to their recent trip to Syria to spotlight the plight of Iraqi refugees—they just get it. They never fail to put their celebrity status to good use. You go Brangelina!
So what have they come up with this time? Well, they’ve put their heads together to design a jewelry line for Asprey fittingly called ‘The Protecter.’ All net profits from the line will benefit the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which by the way, is co-founded by the fabulous Angelina herself.
‘The Protector’ line is reportedly inspired by serpents or snakes. But before you draw the notorious association between snakes and evil, consider the back-story. Angelina Jolie was actually given a snake ring while she was pregnant with Shiloh. Ever since she has considered the symbol to represent a form of protection for her family.
The pieces are not cheap, and reportedly start at around $525, but with all of their celeb friends on board, I’m sure this stuff will sell.
