Amanda Peet’s Self Magazine cover is perfectly timed—hitting newsstands just after 2012 hit the big screen. Read the story, and see photos and video here.
2012 could be her chance to hop on the A-list bus. She’s had a few other roles in decent movies, but certainly nothing on the scale of her latest.
I have to give her credit. She came off as a believable gold-digger in the movie, who then saw the light and realized that she could eventually work things out with her disheveled ex-husband. So why not feature her on the cover of Self Magazine? After all, this could be her chance to break free from the manacles of relative obscurity, and head into the big leagues.
Here are a few snippets from Amanda Peet’s Self Magazine interview:
When asked about the ideal body, she said:
“If I could choose and ideal body, I’d take Gisele Bundchen’s. I challenge anyone to say she wouldn’t want Giselle’s body, deep down. Actually, I’d take a number of people’s bodies. I’d take Jennifer Aniston’s too. I want boobs, a gentle six-pack and a perky butt.”
So does she harbor any secret crushes?
“I’m obsessed with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. If she knew how much she was in my household late at night or in the wee hours of the morning, she might be disturbed! [My screenwriter husband David Benioff] and I both have a crush on her.”
About being a mom, she said:
“You have to put your oxygen mask before you put on others’. It’s a good metaphor for parenting, but it’s really hard to do sometimes. A lot of women feel that if they’re exerting energy in different areas of their life or are really passionate about other things, it’s automatically detrimental to the child.”
It’s always refreshing to hear honest answers out of celebs, isn’t it?
