Zöe Saldana, 31, is an outer-borough New York girl, raised in Queens by way of the Dominican Republic. During the interview with Details magazine the exotic actress says she has become in a little action wh*re. Saldana is always on action movies. The Latina actress says she has always gravitated toward the Angelina Jolies, Linda Hamiltons and Sigourney Weavers. She loves strong women that are in tune with their body and don’t use their bodies as sex tools. She admits she’s dominant but not a man-hater, she’s just a proud woman.

“I’ve become a little action whore,” Saldana says. Emphasis on action, not the other thing. “I’ve always gravitated toward the Sigourney Weavers, the fucking Linda Hamiltons, the Angelina Jolies. I just love strong women that are in tune with their bodies—that don’t just use their bodies as sex tools. I’m very dominant—feisty. I’m not a man-hater, just a very proud woman.”

Zöe Saldana stars in the CGI fantasy film Avatar - directed by James Cameron, creator of the Terminator franchise and Titanic - with ‘Terminator Salvation’ hunk Sam Worthington. The actress says she’s such a physical person and action films work came natural.

“I’m such a physical person, action-film work came natural,” Saldana says. “Even at 5 years old, I was watching Sarah Connor. If you fucking switched the channel to The Last Unicorn, I would’ve been like, ‘Ah, Jesus—just find your way home, you fucking unicorn!’”

Ok, she’s a physical person but there’s a detail here, Saldana’s body isn’t even in Avatar, the Director James Cameron used motion-capture technology to transform Zöe into Neytri, a blue, 10-foot-tall kung fu fighting creature. But wait, Zöe explains that motion capture isn’t like shooting. The combat secuences required the actress to train for seven months in a Shaolin kung fu.

“You’re in a suit with all these dots on you, and whatever you do, they get it. Sam and I did all sorts of stupid shit. If you burp, your character burps. I’d shake my booty, and you’d see my character shaking her booty.”

“Wushu is the shit!” she gushes. “It’s very artistic—it’s what Jet Li does.” She managed to beat her trainer after five months, she brags, and that was two years ago.
“So you can take Jet Li now?”

“Well, maybe Jackie Chan,” she says, taking the last sip of her pomegranate tea.
