Justin Timberlake debuted his William Rast spring 2009 collection, which he designed with Swedish designer Johan Lindeberg and his wife, Marcella.
Justin took his celebrity friends, including Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly and Emmanuelle Chriqui of HBO’s “Entourage,” Andy Samberg of “Saturday Night Live,” model Rachel Hunter, and actress Carla Gugino to Tennessee where the William Rast line was shown. The runway was set like an extended front porch to a run-down house, and included a mounted deer head and the Tennessee state flag in the window.
Nothing like any show in NYC or London Fashion Week, heh?
Timberlake talked a bit about where he gets his inspiration from,
“It’s a lot of stuff, but old Tennessee, new Tennessee — mostly Tennessee. I don’t want to be known for just one thing. Maybe that’s why I do so many things.”
UPDATE: The William Rast line is moving its home base from New York to LA to tap into Cali fashion, as the feel like New York has gone a bit conserative when it comes to fashion.
“In terms of taste, L.A. is between Paris and Tokyo. For me, those are the three references. New York is trapped in this conservative shell now. Which is annoying, because it was never like that before.”
Justin Timberlake, the entrepreneur, is proving he is as much as a business man, as he is super star. The hottie is hammering out the details to finalize his tequila line, named 901. The brand is set to launch in May of this year.
