According to TMZ, Wayne Newton’s wife, Kathleen McCrone Newton filed a legal document in which she makes known clearly that all her personal belongings such as clothes, jewelry, pieces of art and books at the legendary crooner’s Las Vegas house, are absolutely, totally hers. This legal action attempts to keep all her assets safe from the former singer’s pilot, Monty Ward whom the star owes a lot of money.
In the legal documents – filed in Nevada – Kathleen is declaring of the property of her assets because the singer’s former pilot is trying to gather a $500,000 judgment against Newton. He even sent a moving truck over to their house to try and pick the veteran crooner’s assets, reports the website.
Wayne Newton’s money problems got worse after his pregnant daughter Erin fell seriously ill and the veteran crooner had to cancel several concerts at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas to care for her. Sources claims the singer is broke, has big money issues but the most important thing for him right now is his daughter and he doesn’t care about debts.
Insiders said Newton –who unashamedly spends a lot of money – has been the victim of people who robbed him. In the singer’s office to talk with him about money owed or creditors is forbidden. Everybody is clear that his job is to perform, entertain fans, smile at them, and go home to relax. They said that maybe today, the singer has no idea he is deeply indebted.
Now, Wayne Newton’s wife made this clever move to separate assets and keep their stuff safe. The veteran crooner married the attorney Kathleen McCrone in 1994, and they have an 8 year-old daughter together.
